Bilbie Faraday Harrison traces its roots back to 1939 when George Scott Bilbie first opened our doors in Newcastle. Known affectionately as “Mr Bilbie,” he represented everything a family solicitor should be—wise, approachable, determined, and above all, deeply committed to those he served.
Describing himself as one of the last “old-style” solicitors, Mr Bilbie built a firm grounded in human connection, integrity, and practical wisdom. These values remain at the heart of our practice today, carried forward by partners Robert Faraday-Bensley and Andrew Harrison since 2003.
